I have a car dealer that will be implementing this technology soon. our company www.PerfectPCServices.com has a iPhone, iPad application ready. All our website vehicle feeds will show up on the iPhone & iPad. Our dealers we soon be able to take an iPhone and go to the vehicle to take pictures and enter a VIN number to load the car tot he web. It is then broadcast to their dealer website and automatically uploaded onto their cars.com & autotrader.com account. They then will be able to take the 3G iPad onto the lot with the customer and browse all their inventory, look up the Kelly Book values, and we even have a way to link them inside to their computer system to fill out all the paperwork right on the iPad! Comment by Jason Ivers on April 16, 2010 at 1:12pm: That is a GREAT idea... having the salesperson with the iPad right there at the vehicle, with access to all of the information on that vehicle, the ability to take notes right into your CRM, maybe even find vehicles at nearby dealerships... it could have a huge impact on the customer experience.

And that's not even counting the "novelty" impact, or the "this dealer is really with it" impact... just the customer service impact.
